  • For now it seems like an overkill to try and migrate the code in such way as to only make ddc happy, also I had no idea that ddc is still not compatible with dart2js, my understanding was that those are equal but generate code differently because they serve different purpose (one is optimized for production, another is optimized for speed of generation), now I understand this is not the case.
  • Is there a page which describes what is missing from DDC and a time line on planned compatibility work.As for the project – it is still a requirement for the code to work in both server and client (web, we are investigating possible use of flutter and if we go with this it must work there as well, again outside he main process if that is possible in flutter) and isolates seem like a good solution.
  • Using web worker changes several places (communication channel set up for example) and it was decided that the development will be using ddc but run things in main thread as we already know that isolate is working correctly and at the end we will just out it back to initialize in the isolate.
  • I think this will work.DCC is still the better option for us because we can run code in a target browser without thinking of incompatibilities between dartium and the rest of the browsers.
